ATV Rules updated November 2008 Class Breakdowns
2-Wheel Drive Weights 4-Wheel Drive 300-400cc Up to 1,100 Lbs. 300-400cc 401-500cc Up to 1,200 Lbs. 401-500cc 501-600cc Up to 1,200 Lbs. 501-600cc 601-700cc Up to 1,250Lbs. 601-700cc 701-800cc Up to 1,300Lbs. 701-800cc 801 & up Up to13500Lbs 801 & up Stock Machine Definition 1- No engine, suspension, or gearing modifications (exception: Ratchet strapped suspension allowed as long as not solidly blocked) Air Filter upgrades no considered modified. 2- No tires with tread bars running the full width of the tire.(paddle type tires) 3- No axle extensions. 4-ATV's with after market exhaust must go up one class or to modified. General Regulations 1- All stock machines only as described above. 2- Registration cost is $10.00 per class. 3- Machines must have a hitch no higher than 13 inches above the ground. Machines will be measured at weight on level ground, except for stock factory configurations. 3-A Machines must also have a hitch that extends no further rearward than 8" from center axle of rear axle. (unless the machine came from factory as (STOCK) with a longer hitch. 4- Each weight class will include the weight of the machine plus the weight of the driver and helmet. 5- All ATV’s must be operated in a safe manner on and off the track. No speeding or wheelies allowed. 6- ATV’s must use only two (2) driving wheels. No dual wheels allowed. 7- ATV’s must use only rubber tires- No chains or studs allowed. 8- ATV’s must have working brakes, fenders over the two rear tires, and a spring return throttle (Twist or Lever). 9- All drivers must be at least 18 years of age or have written consent from parent or guardian. Drivers 13-16 years must provide proof of satisfactory completion of ATV safety course. 10- All drivers must be fully clothed,with helmet . No open toed shoes will be allowed. 11- No alcohol possession or consumption is allowed by the drivers or in the pit area. Violators including drivers and pit crews will be disqualified. 12- All ties must be pulled off to determine placing. 13- If an ATV goes out of bounds during the pull, you are done. 14- All pulls will start with a tight hitch-no jerking will be allowed. 15- All weights will be fastened securely to the machine with ratchet strap binder. The loss of any object while hooked to the sled will be a disqualification. 16- No weights can extend more than 24 inches from the center of the front or rear axle. 17- Only pump gas is permitted for use as a fuel. Neither nitrous oxide nor pressurized fuels are allowed. 18- Each participant is responsible for lost or stole articles, injury, or property damage. 19- Each participant has one pull per class, except in a tie or pull off. 20 Contest is open to 4-wheel ATV’s, 2 or 4 wheel drives. 21- At their discretion, any contestant may opt to advance to a higher weight or cc class. 22-Only one driver per machine per class 23- Driver must remain seated on the ATV and hands must remain on the handle bars during the pull. 24- The judges will settle any discrepancies in the rules and their decisions are FINAL and must be accepted in a sportsmanlike manner.
